I had my son 9 weeks ago yesterday and started having un protected sex when he was 4 weeks old. I have been out of town so I haven't been to my checkup yet but will be going next week. I breast fed for the first 7 weeks then switched to formula cold turkey. My milk supply dried up in 3 days completely. I only have a little colostrum still coming out. Also I had 2 days where I cramped so terrible and my discharge has gotten crazy. When I have sex I get exteremly wet like I did when I was pregnant. Still no signs of a period...should I be concerned. Yes I breastfed him for 7 weeks but not what y'all call "exclusively" because he used a paci.

It used to be referred to as "Irish Twins" and a few other slur names. It is entirely likely that you will have two children less than a year apart. I grew up with 2 sets of brothers who were 10 months apart and 11 months apart respectively, and neither were the full month apart. Good luck.

Unfortunately, a lot of people make the same mistake. Women really need to understand that breastfeeding will not necessarily protect you AND that no period does not mean you can't get pregnant. It's a common mistake. I hope, for your sake, that this is just that you are not ovulating yet, it could be that. I'd suggest doing a test.

Thanks for the response and I know I was wrong and now I may have to pay the price.

You are having unprotected sex. Yes, you could very well be pregnant. If you don't want to be pregnant, you need to use protection. In fact, you shouldn't want to be pregnant this soon after your baby because you need to let your body heal.

Here's the thing......just because you haven't had a period DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT FERTILE. Here's how your body works - you ovulate BEFORE you get your period. That means, unless you are doing ovulation tests, YOU DO NOT KNOW IF YOU ARE FERTILE. So unprotected sex is not a particularly good choice.
