My question is this...My boyfriend and I are trying to get pregnant I was on and off birth control for about 3 months till we were sure we wanted another. He came visit me on February 1st to be exact and on Feb 2nd I started my period and it lasted for about 4 to 5 days, we had intercourse during that time ( sorry if this is to much info) and almost every day after that including fertile days and ovulation day being on the 16th of Feb. I was suppose to start my period on March 2nd but only started today March 8th and it looks like my normal period red and somewhat heavy flow but is their still a chance I can get or be pregnant?

Tanya: we get heaps of these questions daily and the obvious response for most of us is to take a test.

Really we have no idea so can't help you but some women do have a period even when they are pregnant. The only way to find out for sure is to either take a test or see a doctor.

In response to the other question Jodi asked, I think it was a valid question. You don't mention ANY other children, say your BOYFRIEND (not husband) visited you and also didn't mention he worked away (hence the "visit"). If you don't want people to jump to conclusions then it's advisable to include as much information as possible in the original post.

Magic 8 ball says: I don't know. Go to a doctor, buy a home test.... we can't tell. It's possible you could be pregnant, but if you've had your period, it's very unlikely.

Honey, I'm not bitter at all. You don't know me in the least, so I thank you to stop with the personal attack. You asked a question on a public board, and I answered. You didn't like the answer and you are the one who gets all butt hurt because it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Not my problem. I actually wasn't being hateful at all. You are just choosing to perceive it that way.

Your question was if there was still a chance you you can get or be pregnant. It wasn't, has anyone else out there still been pregnant even though they had their period. I responded to the ACTUAL question. If you want an answer to the second question, I would suggest that you reword it.

My second comment was a question to clarify, it wasn't an accusation. You are just choosing to see it that way.

Who's the one with their panties in a bunch?

Good luck with your TTC.

Wow you are one bitter human being...
I was just trying to get some feedback if any other woman went through it in the hopes of still getting pregnant even if they got the period after and if they had any advice.
I know it's not fuckin rocket science to pee on a stick but you don't have to be so god damn hateful towards someone who is just asking a question.

Oh, your question didn't offend me at all! I just wasn't sure how any of us could tell you any better than peeing on a stick could. I mean, we don't know the circumstances. You either think it is necessary or you don't. You have no idea how many "Am I pregnant" questions we get here. I mean, how the fuck do we know, right? We are on the other end of a computer. YOU know more about it than we do. If you feel the need to ask the question, take a damn test! It isn't rocket science.

My second question was pure curiosity. You were the one who said he came to visit. You introduced the idea, not me. If it was none of my business, why even mention it?

Well Jodi if my question offended you in any way I do apologize...I was asking my question to see if any other women ever experienced the same thing that I experienced and if they ever got pregnant anyway. Another answer to one of your questions is that YES I was gonna pee on a stick but didn't think necessary at the moment cause I got my period or so it seems. And to answer your other question we already have three kids together and the reason he came visit is cause he works out of town and will finally be back home at the end of the month so I really don't see it as being a concern to you how we live our life and if we want another child or not. I also don't know where you get off saying we have no commitment to our relationship our our child/children...if this is your idea of advice thanks but no thanks have yourself a good night.

And on a second note, I'm not being judgemental, but what do you mean by your boyfriend coming to visit you? Do you mean you don't live together? I don't understand why you would WANT to have a baby to someone you are not even living with yet. This, to me, indicates a total lack of commitment to the relationship, in which case, why bring a baby into that?

Well, there is always the chance you CAN get pregnant, but whether you ARE pregnant, I'm not sure a bunch of women on the internet can tell you that. Have you considered peeing on a stick?
