Hi my name's Anne. Im a first time mom. My baby who is going to be 1month old on 24th is always crying. He just stops crying if I breastfeed him. He also drinks milk in the bottle but its only good every 3-4hrs as said by the pedia so if it's not yet time for him to drink milk I have to breastfeed him everytime he cries. Any other suggestions because Im afraid he'd be used to that and I wouldnt be always around since I have a job and I will be returning work from my maternity leave. Please help. Thanks! Also, he doesnt want to be laid in bed for long he wants to be carried most of the time.

Hi Anne. Don't worry, you are not alone! Its really common for babies to cry a lot and personally I feel like boys are far worse than girls. From the moment my son was born it was crying crying crying unless he was being held or fed. I'm not the best source of help given that I am a stay at home mum but I would suggest trying the dummy or another soothing apparatus. Also, your son will only eat what he needs. If he wants to feed 10 times a day, let him because he may only be taking 40 mls per feed whereas other babies may take 60 mls per feed. I know your pedia has said otherwise, but give it a go and see if it helps. Also, at the end of the day, take off the shirt you have been wearing (grubby, i know, but it works) and put it in the bed with your baby (secured to avoid sids). With the right temperature and swaddling, your baby will smell you and think you are still there. If you have any further questions or want to know how to handle the crying as your son gets older (mine is now 10 months) go check out my channel at :)
