Crying in her sleep, is it normal?

So my baby girl is 6 1/2 weeks old and has recently, within the past few nights, started to cry and talk in her sleep. The talking I find is normal since my nieces had done so but her crying worries me. My fiance and I are thinking that she may be having a bad dream, dispite her age, and are becoming more and more worried due to how upset she gets when she does so. When she cries it's like something scared hr or she is being ignored when hungry but her eyes are shut tight and she will quiet down after a few minutes or if we pick her up and cuddle her. Several times I've had to wake her up to get her to stop crying and it breaks my heart when I see some tears in her little eyes. How can I help her to sleep peacfully again? Is it even normal for her to be doing this? Please help :(

My daughter used to cry in her sleep around this age too. My daughter had some traumatic things happen in her life. I don't know the real answer to this but I chalked it up to nightmares because it lightened up as the weeks went on. She is now two and still has nightmares, I've been told she has an over active imagination.
