First of all I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage and wish you all the best next time. I know what you're going through. I am currently 39 weeks pregnant but during my 10 week ultrasound they found a 12cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary. A few days before the ultrasound I had intense pain on my right side and could barely stand or walk. They think that the extra hormones in pregnancy caused it to grow even more! When I was 17 weeks, they operated on me and removed my cyst along with the right ovary and tube. My OB assures me I will not have any problems getting pregnant in the future but we will keep a close eye on the healthy ovary that is left. Did they mention what type of cyst they think it may be? My cyst was technically a tumor because it was a solid mass so they also did blood tests to rule out cancer.

i found out that i had endometriousus when i was 16, and when i had an ultrasound they also discovered a 6cm cyst so i had surgery to remove it and to burn off the endometriosus and then they put me on provera tablets (hormone tablets) to balance everything out, if the cyst stays the same size i dont think they do anything, they can just keep an eye on it, but mine kept growing, i was told i could leave it if i wanted and apparently going on the pill stops the pain from it, but they also told me i couldnt have kids so not too sure how right doctors are!

I had the same problem! I miscarried in the summer and had a bunch of pain for quite some time until I decided to get checked. I ended up w/2 cysts on the right, plus endometriosis. Let me tell ya'...it's not fun to go through! I had surgery (out patient) to remeove it all. They knocked me out...pumped my abdominal cavity w/a gas to expand so they had room to work, and then did their thing to remove the endo and the cysts. The recovery was horrible! Trying to expel the gas was the worst thing I've ever gone through (pain) except for my miscarriage! The gas travels up to the shoulder area and causes alot of pain. I ended up going to the ER where they pumped me full of pain killers and fluids since I wasnt keeping anything down due to the pain. With in 2 months of all of that being done, I ended up pregnant again!! Altough we had to do fertility tx, I still had a hard time believing it could happen again! In the end, it was all worth it...I don't hurt as bad as I did prior to having the surgery, but still do get some pains. I recommend going to a specialist and having them check you out and see what they have to say.

I am very sorry to hear that you had a miscarriage!
Cyct are more of a pain than anything. I have gotten them and they burst on their own. The best advice that I can give is if they continue to bother you ask your doctor to get them out. Move slow and try to not make any sudden movements.

ps: have your adrenal glands checked as well. Sometimes our adrenals are so overworked that they are not doing what they are supposed to which is regulating our hormones and then some. Just another thing to think about.

Have them check out your hormone levels - progesterone plays a huge role when it comes to cysts. My sister had cysts too - they always threw her on birth control -- all along she only needed help with her hormones - not putting a halt to her fertility.

Im very sorry to hear about your loss. I pray for your lost baby, and for blessings sent your way.

Firstly sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had the exact some thing happen. After I miscarried they did an ultrasound and found I had 2 large cysts on my right ovary, My specalist said it was due to the miscarriage and that they would go away (had another ultrasound and they did.) I never had anymore problems until after I had my little girl, (18 months after the miscarriage,) when i had to have another ultrasound and they have now found that both of my ovaries are covered in cysts, they have put it down to polycyctic ovaries. Maybe ask your doctor if you can have another ultrasound in a couple of months to make sure your cyst has gone and to put your mind at ease.

I know the feeling. About a year and a half ago I was in a ton of pain, I couldnt stand up straight, they did an ultra sound and found the cyst it was hard to find, the gyno was worried about it and sent me to the hospital. They kept me for observation for 24hrs. The doctor thought that the cyst might be twisting, which can cause an infection and he might have to do surgery. I ended up fine, no surgery needed. After a little while it went away no issues at all, never had one again. So it will be ok just have to get threw the pain.
