if u start dating do u have someone that could babysit say once a wk or once a month or whatever, so u can keep it to nights out and phone calls etc? does ur son stay with his dad on a regular basis, maybe u could do it then? Just until u feel ready to let the new man inot ur childs life if it gets serious? If u go out after ur son is in bed, ur not missing out on as much time as he is asleep neway, so he doesn't miss out either.

its this simple.. Dont bring your potential mate into your son's life until your sure its going somewhere. Now if its someone who's already in his life, and he's already attached... uh, just go for it. you deserve happiness too. but we all know the feeling of not wanting a parade of men or "uncles" in front of our children. just keep babysitter on call ya kno? or invite him in when the little one is sleeping, maybe?

My girlfriend went threw this with her son, she never introduced to him to anyone that was male that wasn't going to be around for a while. He would meet her friends that were guys but never guys she dated. I don't agree with bringing people in and out of a child's life. I would just make sure that the guys he meets are being there for a while. That would be my advice...Hope this helps.
