I have a 7 week old son and he seems to be getting really fussy and sweaty in this heat we've been having. We keep him inside and have in hanging around in his diaper but I'm just wondering if there's is anything else that we can do. A pharmacist recommended giving him an ounce of cool water after every meal. Any other suggestions?

im guessing the pedialyte is the same as dyrolyte used for adults and they used to give it to my other half after being on PT in the army because of sweating so i think it would work well :)

Thanks ladies! Pedialyte for sweat makes sense, as he does do that a lot. cool baths and clothes sound great as well.

Every so often wipe him down with a cool washer : )

and if you feel like he's sweating alot, ask a pharmacist if he can have pedialyte every now and then as you do lose electrolytes through sweating

I did he said it was more for diarrea(spelling) to restore electrolytes, not for dehydration.
