Denied Medicaid before the deadline?

Okay ladies. I applied for Medicaid when i was 7 months pregnant with my FIRST. I am a 22 year old, married, part time worker and a part time student(took this semester off for pregnancy). I was sent the form to fill out and fax the information to verify that I wasn't lying and not 3 days after I got that form I got another letter DENYING my Medicaid application. The reasons for denial were:

- Income is more than the 185% gross standard (I make 7.93 an hr)

- Income exceeds program eligibility standards

- Failure to cooperate in verifying income

* My husband and i bring in less than $900 dollars a month!

* How can I be denied before the deadline?? The deadline wasn't for another week?

I really confused and pissed off! I know so many girls that pop out babies from all these men and automatically get support. It seems like i'm being punished for trying to do things the right way.

Has this happened to anyone?

What did you do?

How long did it take?

How does this make any sense?
