an epsom salt bath works miracles. Just throw a handful in the water and let her soak in it for a little while.

If it's quite stubborn it's probably a yeast based diaper rash. Mix some teatree oil (several drops with some water and wipe it on baby's clean bum. Also, naked time works wonders. Put down a waterproof pad and let her air out for 10-30 minutes! If all else fails, the closest gel/salve to pure calendula you can find should help soothe.

my daughter gets terrible diaper rash with soars. (she has frequent diarrhea due to a medical condition) We tried everything here is what works the best for us. give the baby a bath and then blow dry, yes blow dry her bottom until it is completely dry. Then use a cotton ball or square to dap on a generous amount of mylanta liquid antacid (we use the generic equivalent). Use the blow dryer to dry the mylanta until it becomes chalky on the baby's bottom. Cover with creamy desitin and then diaper. We also tried a method where you mix the mylanta with diaper cream and then apply without any of the blow drying because it was succesful for many moms I know, however it didn't work well for us. Air is really the best cure, if you can, let your baby run around without a diaper for a little while each time you change her diaper. Good luck!

Both my kids got an illness that cause them to have the WORST diaper rash. They had diahrrea that literally burned their butts. For both of them I gave them baths every night and morning and used A&D ointment. The powder helped too but keeping it clean really made the biggest difference!

My daughter had that as well.... and I use something called Triple Paste. (It is a little more expensive than desitin) It works like a charm. If that does not work, and it does not go away, I would take her to the doctor. Sometimes bad diaper rashes can be bacterial, and you need to get something stronger from your physician. Good Luck!

use corona....it's a paste used for nicks and cuts on animals but it works amazingly on diaper rashes too....you can probably find it at walmart (you might have to ask the pharmacy), but if not any place like tractor supply that sells stuff for upkeep of animals should have it...it's a yellow tube or tub
