Did your baby want extra bottles when they were teething?

My 8 month old was having 3 bottles a day then when he started teething a month ago he wanted more milk. So for the last month he's been having 4 bottles again. He has 3 meals a day, although he did go off his food for a while, just seems like alot of milk for an 8 month old! I don't want to overfeed him!

My daughter is wanting an extra bottle. She's nine months old and I don't worry about it. She's on the small side though:o) If your worried about over feeding just talk to your doctor.

My baby would just chew on his bottle even if he was hungry. I have been told it was because it feels good to rub something on their gums. It also helps the tooth break through the gums easier/better. I would give him/her a pacifier see if that helps, just let her/him chew the life out if it.

My daughter went through the same thing and her doc actually said we were over feeding her. when they want the bottle it isn't cause they're hungry they want to suck and teeth on the nipple. my doc suggested giving her a bottle of water instead and that worked for us.

are you giving him milk or formula? babies arent supposed to have cows milk until 1 year because the could develop allergies to it... it depends how many oz are in each bottle. if you are worried about over feeding him make one of the bottles a few oz of water or watered down juice. good luck!!
