help.my daughter is 7 month old and i feel i really need to diet know not feeling happy in myself or good enough for my partner.i find dieting so boring coz i do like my food.what has worked for you?

Weight watchers is great , you can do it online or go to meetings .
It isn't a diet , it's a change in eating habits and lifestyle .
I have lost 30 kilos after giving birth from weight watchers !

I LOVE FOOD. But Ive learned to watch my portions not what I eat. Just that can save you a lot of calories. My husband eats nothing but plain tuna for breakfast and lunch then eats what ever he wants for dinner.

I don't diet, I think it causes you to have an even worse personal body image once you stop the diet and gain all the weight back and then some. I just simply cut downt the amount of fat that I cook with and avoid eating fast food...after not having it for a month it makes you have some digestive issues...and I try to substitute my ice cream cravings with homemade popsicles and fruit/fruit snacks or granola bars. In my opinion it's a matter of balance. If you're planning on having chicken wings for supper then have a light breakfast and lunch like an oatmeal to go bar and banana and then a bowl of non-processed soup (the amount of salt in those is just nasty) and a peice of toast (no butter, margarine or mayo) for dipping. In between meals when you're feeling peckish have a fruit and a couple of nuts or a glass of skim milk. Drink plenty of water because it'll help you melt the fat and flush out any toxins.

My daughter is amost 1. I breast feed for 6months and I lost all the baby weight plus 30 pounds. Now I just need to keep it off.

thanks for your help i dont drive so have no choice to walk.my oldest daughter is starting back at school next week after having 6 weeks of for the summer so will be walking regulary as it quite a walk also i di have a bike with one of those carriers that go on the bike for both the kids to sit in will have to get that out of the shed.also i just need to cut my portion sizes down i fink and stop the snacking in between meals.

I think that diets are silly. Eat healthy and make it a lifestyle. Exercise as much as you can, even if it's taking the stairs instead of an elevator or parking farther away at the grocery store. Go for walks with your baby. I've been doing an easy 30 minute walking video. It's fun and not too hard. I eat healthy, but still have to eat extra calories because I'm breastfeeding. I got back to my pre-pregnancy weight about a week ago and my baby is 3 1/2 months.

Hello! My son is 9 months old & I have been dieting since he was 6 months old. I've lost 25 lbs by counting calories. I eat about 1200-1500 calories per day in small snacks throughout the day & then a bigger dinner. Then on the weekends I let myself splurge on a couple of extra things so I can keep on track. I try to exercise too, but there is limited time & energy for that (as I'm sure you can relate). I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. Any diet is hard to stick to, but if you can, it's usually worth it.



Also, now that I've been limiting how much I eat, I really have a hard time eating too much. If I do, I don't feel good-so I think it's helping me learn to eat better. The healthier the foods I choose, the more I get to eat.



So anyways, that is what I've tried. I hope you find something that works for you! Remember-it took 9 months to gain the baby weight that you did & it will take 9-12 months to take it off the healthy way (no more than 1-2 lbs/week lost). Good luck!
