Hi Moms,
please, give me your opinion about how to take your baby to a restaurant? My LO is 6 months old and he refuse to sit in a high chair in a restaurant. is it OK to put him in a stroller ? his car seat!? or what do you use? if I hold him he constantly trying to reach the plates.

I've used anything that will contain my little beast! I try and bring things to keep her occupied to play with and that usually works great until the food comes( nothing else matters to her after she sees food lol) Every once in awhile she would be having a bad day and I'd have to take her on little walks to keep her from ripping the table cloth off

I've used both car seats and strollers in restaurants. If you used the stroller just let them know you plan on using it so if they could find you a spot out of the way you would appreciate it.

then put him in a highchair. your the parent and it doesnt matter that he doesnt want to. thats where he needs to be. if the restaurant didnt have any then the stroller would be ok but a highchair is best. also there are these chairs that strap to a regular chair that you can find and they fold up and are portable. if you want look for one of those to keep in your car thats what we did cause some places the booster seats that they have are too small or not safe so we would get ours. you can also buy these things for grocery carts that also fit the highchairs these allow you to hang things from the front of the highchair so he has toys to play with i found mine at walmart.

It is fine to leave him in the car seat or the stroller. Have a bottle and toys ready for any fits. But many babies have no problem with it. Try eating around a nap time. That way he can sleep in the seat while you eat. DO go to a child friendly restaurant. There is nothing like going to a place that is not friendly with children.

A car seat might work. I used my moby wrap for my two. If I needed I could stand rock the baby and still have two hands to eat with.
You can also try freezing breast milk or formula whatever he is eating and give it to him at the resturant. You can call a head to a couple of places and see if the will keep it frozen until you meal is ready.
I also used my baby carrier as a "seat belt" and tied my daughter into a high chair. She was good at almost getting out of them and nearly fell once. That also gave me places to attach toys for her.
