Do you have suggestions for sleep problems?

I have a three year old who is having trouble sleeping through the night (again). He slept through the night until he was about a year and a half old. After many weeks of trying to get him to sleep, we decided to put a TV and DVD player (no cable connection) in his room because it seemed to calm him down. It is still in there, but we only leave on until he falls asleep and then we turn it off. That worked and he was sleeping through the night until about two weeks ago, Now I am not sure what to do, I think it would really break his heart if we just took the TV away. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

white noise machine... They are great. TV actually keeps anyone from getting deep into REM sleep ( when left on) If you can't afford a white noise machine something as simple as a fan will help him sleep.

Now beyond that, have you asked him if he's having nightmares? If he is talk to him about it.. explain monster's aren't real. Buy him a flashlight or something of that sort to make him feel comfortable.
