hey i have 'pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain (PGP)' - the new name for SPD.

I had it in my first pregnancy, nobody would believe me, i was never diagnosed, they now think i might have distasis where the joint splits due to mistakes made during my labour. Now i'm pregnant again they can't actually diagnose the distasis because it requires a pelvic xray. so yeah in major pain over here lol!

i find going up stairs really hard, especially with a 13month old in my arms. try going sideways, one step at a time, on your bum/hands and knees or even backwards. try different legs leading and always go up one step at a time, bringing the other leg to stand still on each step before tackling the next.

hope that helps, there is an spd group but not very active, mand x
