My 13mo. old son doesn't like milk. He'll eat other dairy products like yogurt, cheese etc. but when it's come to drinking milk straight he wants nothing to do with it. I've tried adding it with his formula and slowly increasing the milk to formula ratio but soon as we get to about half of each he refuses to drink it and will often spit up what he's had after we get to this ratio as well. Is not he able to handle the milk? And how do I get him to get all the nutrients he needs from it? Some people have told me about goats milk, but I really don't know anything about it and I don't know anyone who uses it either. Any ideas?

My daughter drinks goats milk and she loves it! i just found out my daughter can have greek yogurt, cheese but she cant have cows milk. it makes her constipated and has an allergy we believe. I cold turkeyed her off cows milk and onto whole goats milk and I have noticed a difference. (good) goats milk has many of the same fattyness that cows milk does for brain development, but also has a ton of extra nutrients in goats milk for the child as well. to be honest i dont think i will ever put my kids back onto cows milk agian.

Goat's milk is a fine substitute. If you are worried about him getting the nutrients he needs as a toddler, though, it is preferable to just keep him on formula or switch to toddler formula since you already know he can handle it.

We are using goats milk with our 13 month old for the very same reason and she loves it! I still breastfeed too but we are trying to cut back on that right now and the goats milk has been great. she would refuse a bottle of breastmilk if it had more than like 1/3 cows milk but she will drink a whole bottle of just goats milk! It's a little more expensive like $3.69-4.69 per quart where i am but we have really been pleased with it and have had no constipation problemss like so mny of my friends switching to cows milk!

Hi there. I drank goats milk as a child for a number of years as it was hard for me to put on weight. I could drink cows milk and I wasn't allergic to any foods but I was always sick. After starting on the goats milk I was able to gain weight and was a healthier & happier child. I would suggest looking on the net for some information also.
