Hello everyone, my name is Courtney. I have a beautiful two month old babygirl and she has this very normal but very dry baby face. The doctor told me not to use lotion on her face because it will clog her pores. I try to wipe her face only a couple times a day with a warm wet cloth in hopes of removing the dry skin, but with not so much irritation. Does anyone else have any suggetions or am I doing about all that can be done? Love to hear from you ladies!

Thanks so much you guys! We went to her two month appt and it turns out that she has cradle cap and it had spread a little to her forehead. She gave me a steroid cream and told me that I could you olive oil on her scalp to comb up the dry patches and to shampoo her hair with Head and Shoulders. The steriod cream is to be used very sparingly though because it will leave bright spots on her face if used too much. Thank you guys for your imput and concern. It's truely appreciated from this first time mommy! Love you COM (Circle of Moms)

i have a 3 month old with the same problem. as far as washing goes our docotor told us that when we do wash her face to use unscented liquid dove for sensitive skin. we just started so idk if it works yet or not.

My son had really dry skin due to his ezcema. It was on his face mostly, with a couple patches on his back and shoulders and his scalp is really dry. I was prescribed a steroid cream for his face and told to put vaseline everywhere else. i think it would probably be ok to put a very thin layer of vaseline on her face once a day.

I think that water on her face will actually dry it out more. Vaseline sounds like a good barrier to help. Maybe even try adding a humidifier in her room when she sleeps to increase the moisture in the air for her.

my son had servere eczema from 2 months of age, because of his age we didnt want to use strong medicated creams, but some one told me about QV cream and it had worked miracles on his skin. and it doesnt clog pores.

My daughter had cradle cap on her face and her Dr told me to use Hydrocoritisone 1% cream. It cleared her face in almost 24hrs.

My son has Eczema and i found that there was no creams for the face and i went to the doctor quite a few times i wouldn't recommend you try creams other people suggest just incase they don't agree with your child's skin if anything i would just keep trying with the doctor get a second opinion :)
