What would you say is the best way to ease the pain when your child has teeth coming in?

Be careful when using carrots...even though they are more difficult to break, I've known several kids who have bitten a huge chunk off. If you give it to him/her make sure they are seated and supervised at all times. Just to be safe! :)

My son is teething too. I use carrots. Peel them and cut off both ends. They are large enough for his to gnaw on but too hard to bite into. I take them straight from the fridge or freezer and give them to him and he loves them...apples work too. A small dose of Infants Tylenol works well too...he weighs about 18lbs and give him around 0.6 ml as needed. You can also get those mesh feeders and put in frozen baby food or if you make your own food take them straight from the freezer I have to break those up with a spoon...they are too large to fit in the mesh bag. Use ice cube trays and freeze the food. It will make approximately 1oz portions in each cube. Baby orajel is good too...hope this helps!! :)

i have a 5 1/2 month old who has 2 teeth that just came in. He likes the teething rings that you can put in the fridge or freezer. i was looking at those teething tablets tonight but i had never heard anything about them before. Might have to try them!

Teething tablets (at Wal-Mart over by the vitamins, usually on the bottom shelf) bluish-pinkish small box. They work wonders!!! love 'em. they dissolve in the baby's mouth and ease/slightly numb their pain. i used them for all 3 of my kids and was never without a bottle when they were teething.

I always kept ice pops on hand it held my son a lot. I would buy normal old Walmart or even Pop Sicle brand.
