Right now I'm 100% effaced and just waiting for my body to start dilating and contracting. she's in position just need a few more pieces to fall in place. She's due the 16th and I'm having a hard time waiting

You're lucky you are that far, lol, I never do anything, so have c-sections. and if they tell you the station thats how low into the pelvis the baby is.

Everyone is different.I can tell you with my pregnancy(first baby now 5 months) she was so far down my pelvis at 39 weeks it hurt to walk.At 39 wks 5 days was dilated 1cm.At 41 wks 2 days was still 1 cm dilated, went into labor at 7am then wasnt until the next day, took like 10 hrs to reach 5 cms, then 1.5 hours later my daughter was born.It goes to show its going to happen when your body and baby are ready.

i dont knoe how affaced i am but i have been 1cm dilated for 2 weeks now, its driving me nuts. i am 39 weeks and 1 days and i only have 6 days left he better come now. when you start to dilated you can be stuck there for abit before anything happenes, it dose depend on your baby and how far down in your pelvix he/she is. the fether down babys head is the better. hope that helps somewhat

Effaced just means that you cervix is thinning. Dialation is how much the cervix is opening. Usually when you begin to become more effaced you also begin to become more dialated but not always. Every woman is different so all experiences are different. Good luck!
