When you guys got the phones I am assuming you were together. But now you guys are not together. If you had a 2 year contract and stuff then obviously someone had to pay the bill. For him to go back on his word is just wrong. what is something happen with you or your son and you had no phone to contact anyone. Men never use their brains even when a kid is involved. I hope things start looking up for you.

Uh, you need to pay for your own phone. If you need financial support from your ex, file for child support. If you are already receiving child support, then he is doing his duty financially and he shouldn't have to pay for your phone on top of that.

Here's a thought.
Get yourself a map book, then you don't have to use the GPS on the phone. Get your own phone that you pay for so then you don't have to worry about it being taken off you. I know you had an agreement but you could have organized it to be put in your name earlier. If you go into the provider and explain the situation they usually help you out.
The other part of your post about not letting your ex MIl to see your son is not on. You think just because you are going to be without a phone you can interfere with the relationship between your son and his Grandmother?
Maybe ask Santa for a street directory for Christmas, then you won't need a phone.

I AGREE WITH JODI HE SHOULDNT HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PHONE ITS HIS SO HE CAN DO AS HE PLEASES. IF ITS THAT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HAVE A PHONE THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET 1 UNDER YOUR NAME AND YOU PAY FOR IT. IS IT WRONG THAT YOU DONT WANT YOUR SON TO SPEND TIME WITH HIS GRANDMOTHER OVER A PHONE UGHH YEA 1ST OF ALL THAT IS VERY CHILDISH OF YOU YOU ARE A MOTHER NOT A KID TO BE THROWING TANTRUMS. AS JODI SAID IF YOU NEED FINANICIAL HELP THEN FILE FOR CHILD SUPPORT AT THE END OF YOUR POST YOU SAY YOU ARE MAD YOU ARE TAKING CARE OF HIS SON WHATS THERE TO BE MAD ABOUT HE IS ALSO YOUR SON AS WELL!!!!

I'm only annoying because you don't agree with me. You asked advice, I gave it. That doesn't mean you have to like it. You won't always get advice you agree with on this site.

I agree with Jodi on this one. He's your ex. He doesn't have to pay your phone bill. Granted he could have been nicer about it. Keeping your child away because of that issue - not cool. Don't put your child in the middle of adult drama.

Even if they were together when she got the phone, he shouldn't have to continue paying for it once they split. Yes, someone obviously has to pay the bill - the person using it.

But why was he even paying for it in the first place, that's my point. It's his phone, right? If he wants to sell it, that's his right.
