What time is an appropriate time to give my son some porridge, late afternoon about 2 - 3 pm or evenings about 6 - 7pm. Do not want to make him uncomfortable when sleeping at night.

i give my son oatmeal in the morning. but he's like 8 months old. still what every you give him i suggest giving him a bottle as a snack like only an ouce or two. or breast feed a little and then try the food. that;s if you're introducing it to him for the first time. it will help introduce solids. that's the advice i've been given.when i first started with multi grain infant cereal i did it in the afternoons and then just started doing it more than once a day and gradually increased how many times i did it.

how old is he? has he had solids before? i first gave my son porridge when he was 6 months old and i gave it to him in the morning, to make sure it didnt upset his tummy ( i was able to watch him better at this time of day) i also found that adding warm formula to the oats helped with his digestion.
