I think it's normal every now and then to go through a rough spot with your spouse, especially when you have kids. About once every few months my hubby and I have a fight and then a talk and things get better each time. Now we are in a rough spot again and will probably have to have a talk again soon. I agree with the other mom on here that says she and her husband go out just the two of them once a month and that helps. I should do that with my husband, but we don't do it very often. It really does make a difference and let's you two reconnect. Just have a talk and hang in there. Marriage is full of hills and valleys.

Yeah Natasha now that I think of it my spouse and I went through a rough patch and we had a huge talk...now we make more time for one on one stuff and all of that helped us too. So perhaps having a emotional talk will help you fill that empty spot and clear the air of the tension or what have you!

I felt like this too. We would fight about everything and he could say the most hurtful things. He used to tell me i was a bad mom and once said it was my fault our son has down syndrome. But one day i was like we need to talk and we both said everything that we wanted to say but never could and explained what we were feeling with out yelling. Now things are going great. And we are getting married later this year. Talking really helped us get everything figured out. Also getting out one a month just the two of us helped too.

Well I think your own happiness is very important in life and if you're not happy then you need to do what you have to make sure you live a happy fulfilling life. Some couples discover they don't work well as a couple and would function better as good friends...perhaps you feel this way too sometimes? I don't know what your situation is but in my opinion it is best for you and your family if you are all healthy and happy...and making sure that is the case is your obligation to yourself! Best Wishes
