I have a 10 month old and I get really scared by this too. We've been pretty lucky with our girl in that she's been a pretty healthy baby so far. Up until 3 days ago, she'd only had fevers associated with immunisations, which although was a little scary didn't last long. Then for the last 3 days she has had a really high fever that will come down slightly with meds but as soon as they wear off it shoots back up again. I have been so scared that she'll start having convulsions or something because they are so high. I haven't really been sleeping because every time she cries..... which has been a lot since she's been sick.... I think of all the terrible things she could have. We've seen a doc who can't find anything wrong with her so we have to just wait and see if it comes down in the next day or two, and if not more tests I guess. Anyway, I think some people are more relaxed about these things than others, but it's always hard when you love your kids so much and they get sick and you get frightened because you don't want anything bad to happen to them. So I hear you, and you def aren't alone in feeling this way!
