I will make sure I tell the doctors I don't want drugs! I'm actually afraid for my husband because when I had the miscarriage I felt the contractions and he's face was so sad because it hurt it him seeing me suffer so much! Yes I stay in the US :) and we have midwifes and doctors so you chose! I have a doctor seeing me every week because my pregnancy is risky!

I am a young first time mom to be too. I am actually really scared. I am married to a lovely guy who is just excited, I would love to be as excited as him but my fears and worries are just getting in the way

Just me and hubby... If you decide you don't want drugs just make sure you tell the nurses to help support you though it. Mine were great they kept saying not long not long... And even if there is you dont no your just focusing on the contractions. To be honest I felt there was a lot of hype around giving birth when really it just happens and straight after I promise you will forget as soon as you see your little sweet heart! Except you might remember when it stings to pee lol but it's all good. Just don't think about it and take it as it comes and you will be amazing! It's amazing how strong you can be... Your hubby will think your amazing too!!! Are you in the US? Do you use midwives to gives birth? Silly question probably but I don't no... I had only mid wives bit some have dc too

That's what I want! I want a normal birth with no medicine! I'm praying to god so I can take the pain because I've heard so many bad things about the shot! Oh and when I'm having the baby I don't want my husband to look down there because I know he'll get freaked out and he might faint! He says he doesn't wanna hold my hand because I'm going to break it lol. Who was in the room with you when you were delivering your baby?

Well to be honest I'm not sure you can fully prepare... I went in with a totally open mind that what ever happens happens.. As long as the baby comes out safe i don't care how he comes out just safe and healthy! And that helped me because I was pretty relaxed, and lucky nothing drastic happen. I did it without any drugs and I'm not going to lie it was pretty painfull but as soon as I held him, it was like there was no pain ever. So I guess my only real advice is just go with the flow my theory is nurses are not going to make things worse for you :) also I would say prepare your other half, my fiancé found it hard to watch me in so much when he couldn't help... We had bought drinks and lolies for him to have a break if he needed but he didn't want to leave me so straight after clay was out he ate and drank lots lol
I also ate them over night in the hospital and stuff because I couldn't sleep as all I wanted to do was stair at him!

one thing that I didn't have that would
have been good was a bath thermometer for when you get home! They told me baby's bath should be 36 degree Celsius and wanting it to be perfect it would of been handy to have. But I soon got one off eBay :)
You say suffer in pain but just remember what you get for it! And everyone takes pain different!

My cousin is naming her son clay too! Awesome :) so how did you prepared yourself for labor? I'm nervous now because I saw a lot of girls in labor today and I saw how they would suffer! It gave me an idea but I left the hospital kinda nervous with all those images of pain!
