At what age did your child say their first word? my daughter is 10 months, and she babbles and stuff, but does not say any words, like mama or dada. should i be concerned?

Don't worry, every baby is different and develops at different rates. some babies learn to crawl and walk earlier than others and those babies are usually later to talk. My son started saying Mumma Dada bubba nana hello etc before 8 months but he cannot crawl or pull himself to stand yet and there are plenty of bubs his age who have been crawling for months.

I wouldn't worry about it most babies are only babbling at this time. Thats about right for her age although some children do talk at a young age. My first said rabbit at 9 months and my second says his name 'elijah', his brothers name 'noah' and around six or seven other words besides mum and dad. I think this isn't the norm because everyone seems blown away when it says it so don't worry sounds like she doing just fine:)

As long as she is atleast gaggling and cooing you should not be concerned. my son said Mum at 6 months and Dad at 7 months. but he is almost 8 months and has stopped saying either and is back to gaggling. all babies are different. give her time. she will get there.
