my daughter started basic solid foods at 4 months such as rice cerial and pureed fruit they say not to leave it to much latter than 6 months to introduce solids as they dont ajust to the method of eating as easily as they get older. 12month minimum on the formula no cows milk befor that as they dont have the digestion to deal with it and can have allergic reaction before 12months also (not all babys will) but however you can start to give him baby yogurts from 6 months. but as i am currently goin through a posible dairy allergy with my little girl (9 months) at atm take my word for it you will still wont to monitor any dairy intake closely!

My daughter actually started eating baby ceareal at 4 months. And she was on formula until she was a year old. Don't give your baby regular milk until 1 year of age because babies cant digest cows milk very good.
