I have a 5 month old who I would like to start weining off the bottle and get him started on a sippy cup. I have read many books that say to start him on an open mouthed cup first and then introduce the sippy after that BUT he doesn't want anything to do with a cup. He LOVES his bottle. If there is anyone out there that has any suggestions, that would be great!

My son is 6 moths and i started him using a sippy cup about a month ago.....i just got one at wal-mart that has a soft top that way it still feels kinda like a bottle top.....then about a week ago i bought the Gerber sippy cup, the top part is still soft but when he bites on it the juice/water/milk doesn't just run out of it......it took him a few times to get what he was going to have to do with it, but i just kept offering it to him and he now drinks out of it at every "meal" but still has about 4 or 5 bottles a day

I started with a soft nipple sippy cup and then eventually switched him over to the hard sippy cup. Nuby has the soft sippy cup !!! Worked great for me!!!
