I have three kids. The last two were preemies and close together. So for the last two years i ahve been staying home with them. Now its time to get a job. Im scared to put them in day care but we need the money . Any advice?

I know how hard it can be to have to work. I've not had the opportunity to stay at home because we are barely scraping by with two incomes (damn mortgage!) but we make too much to qualify for any assistance.

You might check to see if you would qualify for assistance. I know that the state will pay for childcare sometimes, then you'd just have to find a daycare center that accepts it. Otherwise, you could try craigslist or something to find a current SAHM looking to pick up a little extra money herself. Its sometimes much cheaper and a more intimate environment for the kids than a daycare center.

My advice would be to really look for a daycare you feel comfortable with. Interview them. Take your kids and see how they interact with the provider and other kids. Make sure you get a good feeling from the provider and the area.
