My husband and I want to be intimate again but every time we try it hurts so much. Does anyone have any tips on how to get back to normal?

Lots of foreplay. When getting back into sex after childbirth (I am assuming), it is not going to be a quick thing. Work up to it. Foreplay and lube.

There are ways to be intimate without intercourse though. Maybe put sex out of the equation for a while and concentrate on other way to please each other. I know it's hard to find time with a newborn.

Omg my husband and I have the same problem. I wouldn't do anything until my 6 week checkup (which was this week) I had a 2nd degree tear so it was 5 weeks before things began to feel better. Just recently we were intimate. We took things really slow. I also talk with my hubby about everything so as the weeks past I told him constantly how I was feeling. We used a lot a lubricant, as advised by my doc. Take it slow and get in the mood. Not sure how long it takes to go back to normal bc every woman is different. I've seen posts from others saying it took just a few weeks to almost half a year, so it all depends. Also it never hurts to ask your ob.

My husband and I are in the same position . It really sucks and sometimes the pain makes me not want to be intimate but taking it slow and easing back into it is helping us :) good luck ! Things will get back to normal in no time . It has for us .

I couldn't make love for five months! The weird part was the pain started two months before I had our daughter. I kept going back to the doctor in case something was wrong. Doc said everything was fine. Try a little bit at a time, and use lube. My doctor actually prescribed me some sort of numbing cream to try to get through it. I never tried it b/c I was unsure if it would affect my baby while breast feeding...but maybe it's something you'd want to ask your doctor about.

How long since bubs was born?

The best thing is to take it slow, make him do a lot of foreplay and use a good lubricant.
