getting on schedule

Hi, I'm a first time mom with a 3 month old. We got into a great night time schedule but daytime is a mess. He was happily eating 4oz every 2 hrs. He started getting hungry sooner & sooner so I upped it to 6oz every 2-3 hrs. But now he only eats about 2-3 oz, refuses to eat more & falls asleep for about 30 mins & then wants maybe another oz. When I try to keep him up he gets cranky & refuses to eat, and trying to distract him & give a pacifier until he's a little hungrier doesn't seem to help. I've tried really hard to get him to nap at certain times but he just prefers to catnap here & there through out the day, which the dr told me is just what some babies do. The eating schedule makes it impossible to leave the house to make it anywhere in a timely manner. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get him to eat better? I'm sure it's just something we have to work through but I figure it's worth asking!

The current recommendation is to feed babies on demand... when they are hungry, not when it's time to eat. And yes, some babies are cat nappers.

You don't need to be stuck in the house though. Babies can have bottles on the go, and can nap in strollers and baby carriers.
