My 8 month old daughter has glowing red cheeks... No sign of high fever, just running (water) nose. What can cause this??

Fifths disease causes a rash on the cheeks that I believe is described as "slapped cheeks". That's usually where the rash starts. It really isn't harmful to a child and most adults have already been exposed to it so most of the time it isn't harmful to them either. However, it is harmful to pregnant women. It causes the fetus to become anemic and sometimes severely enough it causes death. So, if you are concerned or you start seeing a rash appear in other places it may be time for a trip to the pediatrician just to be sure.

Teeth?! My sons cheeks go incredibly red when he is teething. Does he have nappy rash at all?
