My daughter is 15 months and has just been off the bottle for a week and 1/2. I bought some of the Nuby sport sippy cups (http://www.babyearth.com/nuby-sports-sip...) and gave her one of those at bedtime with water in it instead of her usual bottle with milk. The important thing is to pack away the bottles and DO NOT give in (or else next time you try to take them away they know you're going to give in again). My daughter had a few temper tantrums over not getting her bottle, but they're getting better :) Good luck!

I'm not sure my I just handed my daughter a sippy cup one day and she never took a bottle agian. My sister was a bit trickier (she is only 6 months older then my daughter) she refused to give up a bottle. So the dr told my mom to only put water in bottles so she would lose interest, and get a sippy cup with a soft spout so the transition wont be as difficult

Replace it with a sippy let them pick it out then when offering the sippy make it more interesting then the bottle by making it strawberry milk of chocolate. Also the earlier the better
