Let your child explore! My daughter loves getting into everything and having a good rummage round. I put a big pile of clothes on the floor and sit her in the middle... she loves it! New textures, smells, tastes, sounds are what babies love! Sit down on their level and play with them too. My daughter was born 6 days early and weighed 5lb 3oz (2.5kg) she was TINY... but ever since birth I have encouraged her to move around, lie on her belly and wriggle... she's 10months old now and she will still roll onto her belly to do it now. Love your children, and go with the flow.

Always be firm but fair and consistent in both. This insures that your kid will know that what you say is the way things are and will lead to less challenges.

Other than that, love, laugh and play with your child. You really can never get these years back and they are wonderful! this is the best time because your kid wants you near and they are so snuggly at this age.

Just have fun, don't take life to seriously! Trust yourself and know that you will make the right decisions for your family no one else. At the end of the day your children want to know that they are loved and that you enjoy their company.

Listen to all the advice given to you by everyone- Mom, Mother-in-law, neighbor, friends, doctor, stranger, everyone. Then throw it all away and do what you think is right for you and your family.

when you baby falls down don't gasp or run right to them give them a second to show any signs of pain or if they are bleeding... my daughter is way adventurous and climbs on everything but never cries if she falls unless she is really hurting

always listen to your baby, not everyone else. you know your baby better than anyone, doctors, friends, family members. As my mother told me, your baby will tell you exactly whats wrong if you listen. hope this helps
