i know how you feel. I have to say that the hair loss is one of the worst parts of pregnancy that i don't look forward to. i just had my second baby boy in May of this year and the dreaded hair loss started happening 3 months later sometime in August. i don't remember how bad the first time was, but i can tell you that this second time is very bad. my hair is less then half of what it used to be. i am very worried and stressed and going through a hard time with my hair. i got a hair cut and it kinda helped in the beginning and then it stated falling out anyway. in handfulls and all over the carpet and bathhroom. my husband can't believe it's all my hair!! i feel like am going to to bald soon even though i can see all the little baby hairs frowing back...i still hate it when it's falling out. i got to the point where i don't even want to brush it or wash it or even touch it cos the hairs fall out so easily. i just thought i'll get a wig and wig it out for a bit of confidence and maybe take some vitamins or watever to help my hair get back to normal. it's so sad looking at all the photos of my once long full hair and i miss my fringe too...hehehe...oh well, hope it all goes well for you. what we have to goe thru huh??

I lost a little also, I thought it was from my birth control, but was wrong. I still have lil baby hairs, but it will grow back. I didn't loose any length though. If you're nursing, you want to take prenatals still, that way you don't dry out. I hope this helps

About three months after my son was born I started losing hair and it just kept coming out. The dr. wanted to check my hormone levels it was so bad, but it did eventually stop. I lost a ton of hair in the front I had bald spots. It is all growing back I have all this baby hair in the front. I had long hair and cut it all off now I have short hair I didn't know what else to do it was horrible. It does stop and grow back though. It is just cuz the hormonal changes

yES! mY HAIR CAME OUT REALLY BAD ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER THE BIRTH OF MY DAUGHTER...AND CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS. EVERYTIME I WASHED MY HAIR, IT SEEMED LIKE CLUMPS WOULD COME OUT!

yOUR HAIR DOESNT SHED WHILE YOU ARE PREGNANT...THATS WHY ITS SO THICK AND HEALTHY DURING PREGNANCY!!!! iTHE SHEDDING GOES INTO OVERDRIVE AFTER YOU HAVE THE BABY, AND YOUR HAIR'S GROWTH RATE CANT KEEP UP, SO IT GETS REALLY THIN.

mINE DIDNT TAKE LONG TO GROW BACK THO..I CONTINUED MY PRENATAL PILLS

It is very common for mothers to experience hair loss after birth. It is due to your hair cycle. Normally your hair has 3 cycles. The 3rd is when your hair falls out only to be replaced with a new hair.

In pregnancy it bypasses this. That is why when your pregnant your hair usually does feel thicker.

So about 6 weeks after the birth this is when your hormaones start going back to normal. If it is coming out in clumps I would see your GP.

I had the same thing happen, and my dr told me to try a women's multi vitamin. They are way cheap (300 pills for about $30), and it helped. It is crazy how that happens though!

My hair is also falling out like crazy, everytime i comb it i have to brush it all off my clothes. and oh yeah, the baby loves pulling it out by the fistfuls. My beautician warned me it would happen after I stopped getting prenatal vitamins and has suggested I get a multivitamin containing vitamin E. Hope it helps!

I didnt loose any hair till 3 months after giving birth. I was shedding like crazy for about 2 months and now my hair is half what it used to be. I have all these baby hairs now and it really is amazing how much I lost. I would have handfulls coming out in the shower! :(

take prenatals for the scalp but when you are prego your hair doesnt fall out at all so its just catching up and its nothing to worry about also putting warm olive oil on your sclap with platic wrap for 30 min then wash it helps with the scalp

I had that happen after all four of my children,,, the doctor explained that it was because while you are pregnant you all the extra hormones that make a women glow... and after birth you no longer are getting the exra's so out falls the hair.. take prenatal pills a for a couple of weeks and it should help.
