Hi Victoria

I just want to assure you that it is perfectly normal for an 8month old to walk, every child will walk when they are ready and at different ages. My first son was walking by 7months old and running around non-stop since 9months. Every child is different, i have worked with many children who started walking between 7 and 8 months and some who didn't start till they were 20+months. Have you had her in a walker? Has she been climbing and standing near furniture? If so, the next step for her is to walk and take steps. She may only take a few at a time until she gets her confidence and balance up then look out you will think she is in one room and she will be following you all over the house :)
