Wooo! There are some bad experiences on here. Which are good to know about. Bad stuff happens, too.

I had mine put in 2 months ago. It was irritating me but I guess that's normal to start, seeing as it makes you menstruate for the longest time after its in (and its purpose is to create an unfriendly sperm environment). My doctor did his routine follow-up check-up and he says its fine. I've had light bleeding this whole time, and sensitivity "up there" during sex.

But I can admit it's getting better. This thing lasts 5 years. If I have to go through a few months of annoyance at the beginning, so be it. I know that if I'm still thinking about it in a year, I'll just have it taken out.

I just had mine removed. I had it for 6 months. ruined sex, i was moody. I noticed alot of pain, it was pushing through my cervix so i had it removed and i was depressed for 2 weeks. Crying, moody, depressed and anxious. The crash after removal was the worst feeling i've experience. I'm back on the nuvaring lol

I had it put in, in 2009 and had it taking out in 2010. I was fine with it but(not to sound gross or anything) but felt it when me and my husband had intercourse, it hurt every time we had sex. I went to get it takin out and my doctor said it might have torn my insides up so he took out it and that I would have to have surgery bout I had got pregnant so I couldn't do it. I am still having problems to this day. And now I saw on the tv that they are recalling it or something. I had the little rod in my arm now,but no period in 3 months and light bleeding and MASSIVE cramps. Have you had any of these problems with your Mirena?
