I split for my babies father when i was 4 months pregnant, they asked me to leave the house i was staying at which left me and my children homeless because i ended the relationship. Since the birth of my beautiful daughter I have told him about registering the birth and offered him regular contact at my home,, he came along with his mum to the registration but refused to see his daughter at my home at all. I then offered for them to take Macey to their home from morning and have her back at tea time and this happened once, they had no interest as it was hard work. His mum had visited Macey on three occasions at my home each time three weeks apart but not her Father. After three weeks again I received a text message from his mother asking to come see her the following weekend but I already had plans with my family, she then threatened me with court, I replied that I had offered them contact with Macey every other weekend from Friday til Sunday and the had refused how am I being unfair, so she agreed and took her the following weekend, truthfully I didnt want this as Macey is only 14 weeks old but felt it was right for her to have contact with her other family members, all the while they had been to a solicitors to fight me for contact during the week which i had previously refused as the situation would have to change again once she started pre-school, unless of course they planned on bringing her 80 miles to school for the 2 days they requested. Am i in the wrong here and what are my rights

Thank you, your words are encouraging, its hard when i am trying to do the right thing and still being in the situation i am. I understand pre-school is a long time away, I just want consistency and not to have a repeat performance of all this nastiness in 2 years time when week days no longer suit them
