My daughter just turned 2 in July and I have been wanting to get her ears peirced since she was born, but I haven't yet. I am concerned that if I did get them peirced now, she would pull them out. My question is: would you recommend it, or have you had it done?

I had gotten my daughters ears peirced at 4 months old. And I regretted it as she got older and was at her sitting up stage and discovering her ears she kept playing with them. Not only that when they are in bed with there blankets there earings can get caught on there blankets and then you lose the earings or the blanket gets stuck on them.

I would wait.....my girl would probably pull them out, and I know she wouldn't stay still for it. At this point I would wait till she decides she wants them. Wouldn't it be a great experience down the road, a special mommy daughter outting when she can pick out some earrings herself? I think that would be a better memory then trying to console a screaming toddler after ear peircing.

Why not wait until she asks and is old enough to NOT pull on them and to take care of themselves? - Let her decide if she wants extra holes in her body. It's just extra work for you, and is it going to make her cuter? Or is it that you just want her to have them? I would wait. My daughter is 26 months and it's not happening anytime soon. I was 13 years and basically had to beg and plead for them.
