Have you tried the "techniques" to have a specific gender?

Exactly what the title says, have you tried the things doctors have said to specifically have a boy, or specifically have a girl. I know some of you might say it's in God's hands but i'm just curious if anyone has done these things and if they work???

I've also heard the thing about "female" sperm living longer so to time it a few days before ovulation to ensure more female sperm than male get to the egg. I have no idea if its true or not. I wonder if we will try any of those "techniques" or not next time around- like you we have a boy and would like a girl next time and DF's family is ALL BOYS! He has three brothers and his one brother has twin boys. It makes me doubtful of our chances!

i tried it on the computer to say wot i was aving it told me a girl but i went for my 20wk scan and it was another boy, so i wudnt believe in certain fings give u a certain gender in my eyes you get wotever god intends you to have or wotever your patrtner gives you becf its dwn to them to match one of the chromazones but theres always a chance x

Male sperm swim faster and die Quicker, female sperm swin slower but live longer.

if you can track your ovulation have sex before you ovulate for a better chance at a girl, and after you ovulate for a better chance at a boy :)

Good luck!!!

I have a couple friends who had lot of success using timing (cant remember specifics but for one sex you have intercourse a few days before ovulation and for the other you do it after ovulation) and alkaline/acid methods - theres a lot of science that supports thoes methods.

ya i'm the same way i have a 7 month old boy and would love to have a girl as well but either way, having another child will be such a blessing. The things i've read are; female sperm live longer but male sperm swim faster so to have intercourse 3 days before ovulation as well as eating small breakfasts and keeping a daily intake of 1500 calories or less. The first one makes sense but the second one is kind of weird so thats what i've come up with. The reason i'm asking is b/c my husband comes from a family of ALL boys and since the male kind of "decides" what the gender is going to be, i think i might have all boys! As long as their healthy I will be overjoyed!

My fiance and I are trying to conceive again.

We already have a little boy so we are hoping for a girl. We have done some research on probability based on circumstance to make sure we are doing what we can to increase our chances.

Im not sure what will happen. If we conceive and have another boy we'll still be overjoyed. Its also going to be fun to see if it all works out in the end too.
