For me, I just took them away. They will cry for the first night or two but that was it. My daughter was 16 months and my son was 2 when I took them and they don't have any teeth issues. My sister and her daughter gathered up all of her pacifiers and left them out for the "Binky Fairy" to come and get to give to new babies. The fairy left her a big girl present in its place, a book and a toy or something I think. It worked for them. Good luck!

My mom would dip my binky in hot sauce...not a lot..... just enough to have me associate the binky with something not so tasty.... or you could try a fruit juice your child doesn't like or a veggie.... be tricky.... good luck!

My laptop shut down before i could finish. lol! But my 2 yr old will not give up her binky! Will this destroy her teeth and should I try some drastic measures to get rid of it?
