Help, help! lol. Ok so my 3.5 month old has always taken the bottle just fine. My fiance fed him for an entire month through the nights while I slept....then he'd take the bottle when I would pump and we'd go into town etc (im not a confident public breast feeder).....then lack of sleep kicked in again and I finally agreed to let my fiance do some formula feeds in the night. I start work mid october so needed to start decreasing my feeds soon anyhow. Koa decided he will not take the bottle anymore!! It was so sudden.....he took it one night a couple nights ago and then wont take it ever since....any tips??

Mix the bottle half breast milk to half formula then decrease the breast milk until it is nothing but formula I had the same troubles when we went to formula with my youngest who's now five.

He is a stubborn little guy, isn't he? I don't have any other advice, sorry. Everything will work out in time.

He has had formula before...in fact he had it the night before he decided to quit taking the bottle lol. Quick scenario: 8pm he fell asleep after freaking out for 30 min...I made a bottle for the first time in about a month (formula in it this time)....when he woke up within that hour, he took the bottle just fine....then woke up for midnight feeding and took 2 ounces of my pumped milk (sometimes hes just a snacker!), then I fed him breast at 2am....at 4am mike was going ot feed him to let me sleep (my moods are down, aweful postpartum stuff) but he refused and I had to feed him.....ever since he wont take the bottle.

My youngest son did this too. 1st, had he had a bottle with formula before or was your fiancee feeding him breastmilk at night. He may just need to get used to the formula. My 2nd suggestion would be to play around with different bottles and nipples until you find something that works. I know how frustrating this can be. Keep trying and eventually it will happen.
