Its so hard being a first time mom and not knowing what is normal or not. Please tell me if any of you have experienced any of these things I'm dealing with.

Milk leaking out nose while breast feeding.
Choking on spit-up
Fussing and crying continually while breastfeeding?

Can anyone help me? What is reflux anyway and what can they do for it?

my son is 4 months old and has reflux. the doctor put him on a medicine, it doesn't help the spitting up but helps the fussiness. i go between formula with ceral and nursing through out the day. the doctor told me 1 tablespoon for 4oz of formula. that causes...pooping, so he gets and oz or two a day of juice(pasturized).

i would difinteley talk to your doctor about everything though...

my daughter had reflux too we had to sit her upright against some cushions for about half an hour so she could have a chance digest some. My daughter would sometimes seem to throw up verything she ate then about an hour later act as though she was starving it can be very stressful. The nose leaking happened for my daughter too I would sit her up and very gently rub her back. She was crying a lot though.

Also I had to cut dairy out of my diet to help her colic. Otherwise I'd spend hours trying to help her fart or burp.It could be a sign of an immature digestive system which means be careful what you feed her as she gets older.

Don't stress too much as long as your baby is getting enough milk they'll be fine my daughter would spit up all the time just be careful after your baby has drunk anything. I bought some thickener and put in a bottle with breast milk for some feeds in the afternoon didnt seem to do much good though.
