Your probably fine since you GOT your period... but trust me.. I know from experience that if you are not consistent on the pill.... that you very well CAN end up pregnant. I'm living proof... :o) Im five months along right now... for my unplanned GODSIDENT...(thats what we call our little girl) Anyway... stay consistent.. thats the best way to ensure that you wont end up pregnant.. but GOD is in control. :o) Hi-D

it sounds like your body is just adjusting to the pills (and lack of pills) but i started what i thought was my first period back after giving birth and immediately started taking the pill again. i bled for 3 weeks on and off before checking with the doctor and it turned out i was pregnant. unfortunately it was ectopic and since i had waited so long before getting it checked out i ended up having surgery to remove the pregnancy and one of my fallopian tubes because it was too late to try the alternative drug they can give you to help pass it on its own without surgery. i didn't have any pain so i never realised their was aproblem, i thought my body was just adjusting to getting my period back. i know this is one of the worst case scenarios, but if you continue to bleed go to your GP.

You're probably good to go, Put your pills beside your toothbrush so you remember or I suggest the NuvaRing!!!! You don't have to remember to take it every day! Worked wonders for me. Or if you find that you get your period twice another month go see your doctor you might need a higher hormone dossage :)

Hey i had the same problem but it was just my system trying to get back to normal after having a baby and going back on the pill. I had my period pretty much one whole month because my cycle was so screwed up.

Probably not. Depending on the person, if you miss more than 2, your body thinks it's time to menstruate again. It sounds like you might have some trouble remembering... Have you tried the shot? Once every three months and you're good to go.

I'm not even on the pill, I had my 3rd child 3 months ago, 4 weeks ago I had my period for 2 weeks straight and got it again last sunday, it just went away. It's probably just you're body trying to catch up to the pills because you're not taking them consistently. If you want to be sure, just buy a test or go to the dr.

it sounds like you just screwed up your system a little, your body's probably just confused! i would suggest you look into another type of bc, that's not daily, if you are having problems forgetting... (my best friend is like that and it drives me crazy!!! lol, so she's on the nuvaring now and loves it)

Just a warning....this is how I got pregnat with my second child...I only had to miss ONE pill and it screwed everything up...If you have problems with remembering the pill as alot of women do...due to "baby Brain" I suggest an IUD...I got the Implanon...its a plastic rod that is inserted in your arm and last 3 yrs. Its wonderful and I only get my period once every 3 mnths which is awesome!!!

Not necessarily. If you are on the "pill" you have to remember to take them because the pill is telling your body that you are pregnant, but you are not. Once you forget to take them for a few days you break the cycle and your body does what it needs to clean itself out. Kinda like after birth. It's ok you'll be fine. I am able to tell you this because I had the samething in the beginning. Don't worry because the more you stress about it the slower your body will get back to it's regular cycle!

I have no idea how the pills affect you, but if you forget the pills often I would consider another type of birth control. I have the nuva ring and it's sooo much easier, and even though it looks kind of uncomfortable, you can't feel it at all.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. It sounds like it is the scheduling of the pills that has messed up your body's timing.

So crazy I came across this.. Not to scare you or anything but my sister just went thru this same situation. She took a pregnancy test and it was positive. She told the nurse during her first visit that she had 2 periods in one month and was told she probably was having twins because she had conceived twice that month. I told her the nurse was crazy!! She went to an ultra sound the following Monday and sure enough it was twins. The kicker to the story was she was told her chances of ever getting pregnant were 1% she has never been pregnant before and now she is having twins. She is happy because she really wanted to have kids.
Your situation probably is different but I just wanted to share that.

No i dont think that you would have to worry about being pregnant,it sounds to me like your body is all confused because of the whole birthcontrol situation, I know this because the same thing happened to me.I just could never remember to stay on schedual and remember to take the things lol !!!But I think your completely fine and that your body will be back to normal in about a month or so give it time, but I do think you should go for a checkup with your doctor just to be sure and to be on the safe side,I hope all goes well!
