Lots of activities that you can walk away from when you need to and join in on when you want to. Glueing, painting, building, anything that is easy to clean out of the furniture and carpet when you have one of those "i forgot he's only two moments".

Definately keep them occupied, start a sticker log where they get rewarded for good deeds, timeout works great if it is something that is a definate no no like hitting, and praise them as often as possible when they do something good, it will want them to continue that behavior. I notice my son acts up the most if I am cooking dinner, studying, etc (where my attention isnt solely on him) so sometimes if I take a break and give him the attention he needs, he will play happily again and forget about his tantrum.

my son was a hyperactive 2 year old! i found that having toys that he didnt normally play with for when it was extra hard to cope was a great distraction for him and would keep him occupied for bout 45 mins which gave me time to calm down and compose myself aswell as get sum boring housework done! good luck xx

my daughter was an xtra busy 2 year old and my mom suggested warm chocolate milk - i thought no way because of the sugar in the chocolate - i thought it would make her more hyper but it always seemed to calm her down a bit. hang in there!!

continue to reinforce the rules and dicpline. As a mom of three little ones and I'm not but 28... Kids thrive on structure and routine. I know how hard that can be. My oldest has ADD/ADHD. And the two younger are only 9 months apart. Kids develop better as well as over act better when there is a routine. As far as the terrible twos... All I can say is somedays.. Ya have to sit back and remind ya self.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.. but some days not fast enough. Enjoy them .they will grow up in a blink of an eye.

Try to find ways to occupy them that they like! Whether it is watching a movie or playing with their toys! Just try to find things that they find fun so that way you know that they are not getting into trouble or giving you stress!
