help me please

my 3 year old son is being potty trained. he will pee in the pot but when it comes to the other thing( poo) he won't go. i have tried time outs, books, and even the reward systems. can anyone help me PLEASE.

He may not be ready yet i have a little brother who would not be potty trained till he was 4 year old my mom tried everything. this may not be what you want to hear but. Dont worry he will do it once he ready

Oh, and also when he has an accident in his pants have him go dump it in the potty. Say something like, "Uh Oh, we had an accident. That's okay, lets just put it where it belongs. There, that's where our poop goes."

Do NOT punish him. It will make it take much longer and make it much harder on you and him if you do so. It needs to be a good experience. It is completely normal for it to take longer for the child to become comfortable enough to poo on the pot. Once he is comfortable enough going pee then he will warm up to going poo. It could take months. Be gentle, never cross, and encourage him and give him all the time he needs.
