My in laws are here visiting from abroad for four months. This is the first time meeting so I was very anxious and excited at first. But a month and half in she barely speaks to me unless she absolutely has to. When my husband comes home she chatty, but they speak their language. During, the day she is in front of the computer. Sometimes she will go out of her way to talk to my husband to tell me to do something. I was ok with the silence at first, but now it's driving me crazy!!! It's like she doesn't see me as a human being. I feel this overwhelming animosity, too the point where I don't even want to leave my room. I wanted this to go so much better. Husband says that's the way she is and I should accept it. Another, petty thing we gave this woman $800 to go shopping when she got here, she hasn't bought my daughter one thing! And just recently she was complaining that we didn't give her enough. We pay for all their bills, pay for her children's school tuition and spent 6k on their flight getting here!!!!

Sounds to me like you might want to step up to her and give her a piece of your mind. This is your house not hers. You gave her plenty of money I wish I had that kind of money but anyways tell her how you feel about her and tell her if she doesn't like it she get get the hell out and as for the husband give him a piece of your mind to he isn't sticking up for you and he should yes it is his mom but your his wife and mother of his child.
