My 7 year old daughter does the strangest things, and Im wondering if its just stage (a really long one) or is she just weird?? She likes her hair in her face, I had to cut her hair really short but she still manages to do this...she likes to wear her gymnastic suit EVERYWHERE, and when she wears it to her grandparents house they always yell at her AND ME for not making her change, but I just let her....she rolls her pants way up high so they become like short pants and she looks silly ....sometimes she wears like 3-4 pairs of socks AND underwear...she tells me 100 times on the way dropping her off at school to not forget to be at the bus stop...like I would actually forget her, and I never have just for the record...lol..I don't know what her issue is? does anyone else have these issues?

Hi there, my daughter was the same at 7. We had many health challenges which prompted me to research and write Saving Generation Next describing early red flags and warning signs of internal imbalance or impending disease.

P.A.N.D.A.S. Is pediatric associated neurological disorder associated with strep resulting in conditions like OCD, ADHD, Tics, etc... My son was ADHD, my daughter bordering on OCD. Neither as far as I knew had strep. But I learned that part of the strep protein has similar attributes as some brain protein. The body creates an antibody to attack the strep protein and mistakenly, attacks the brain.

I learned that the more imbalanced the intestinal area the more opportunity for proteins to enter the blood and for these mistakes to happen. I made a fruit smoothie for my kids with undenatured whey protein which increases glutathione (low in kids with ADHD, OCD) powdered magnesium that reduces inflammation (high in kids with OCD, ADHD), a fiber powder with glutamine (reduces intestinal inflammation, abundant on breastmilk), probiotics and prebiotics which imorove immunity and gut health. Our son who at one time had Asthma, Adhd, night terrors.... Became whole and graduated from the USMA in May. Same with our daughter.

90% of health conditions treated today have at their root, disruptions in 3 aspects of health, low glutathione, gut imbalance and inflammation. These three pillars of health, when corrected, offer much improvement for many conditions. Think: early red flags and warning signs and use your natural maternal instincts. (Also limit sugar and refined carbs while giving them the shake....try for a few months)

Hope this helps, Debi Waldeck

I don't think any of that sounds especially weird. It might be attention seeking, or she might just be a creative, free spirit. I wouldn't worry though. Moms have been complaining about kids with their hair in their face since haircuts were invented though, and creativity with clothing is nothing new either.

Every time they have a day at school where they tell the kids they can wear anything they want our kids insist on wearing a costume. The school only means that you don't need to wear your uniform. But I don't see any harm in it.

thanks Kelly...I kind of would like to think the same thing, she is just a normal 7 year old that wants attention ...her grandparents get on my case all the time about it though, and it makes me wonder ...thanks for your comment though

Sounds to me like she just likes to be different and noticed, it is probably a phase much like when children have a fancy dress outfit and like to wear it all the time, it makes them stand out and keep the imagination and fun flowing. it's a good thing to be weird sometimes :)
