I was reading my monthly email from baby centre and it was discussing cuddling with your kids an how important it is. I've realized that because of my rough past I have issues with cuddling and can't seem to cuddle with my oldest daughter. What can I do to get over this and feel comfortable enough to cuddle her so this doesn't affect her relationships in the future? Or would it even? My mother and her father do not have this issue and she cuddles them a lot but I've been catching myself pushing her away when she tries to cuddle me.

Hi Brittany
i think its important to cuddle your child,it gives a special bond. Maybe you should think about why you cant cuddle her.I am sure you love her, try giving her a hug sometimes.
Does she let you hug her? Try slowly.. you dont have to cuddle her 24/7:-)
I wish you good luck!
