Start off slow.
Some children can get overwhelmed with the huge variety of foods available.
Make sure the foods you give her are fun as well.
Try things like banana, avocado, corn on the cob is heaps of fun for kids but dont expect her to eat it all.
Just slowly introduce her to knew foods. Pretty much anything you eat is fine for a 1 year old, but make sure it is healthy and not full of artificial flavours, colors and preservatives, as young children can develop allergies and disorders like ADHD if given too many.
Im not 100% sure on this one, but I believe it is best to avoid nuts and strawberries at this stage as they are high allergy risk as well.
Always when trying a new food, keep it slow and keep an eye out for possible allergic reactions. A slight rash where your child has touched food( hands, arms, neck and around the mouth), swelling where your child has touched food or difficulty breathing.
Most of all, have fun and dont worry about the mess.
Good luck
