with my son we threw cheerios into the toilet and told him to shoot them... made a huge game out of it and did lots of cheering... the poo part sometimes can be harder but making things fun and like a game worked with my son and daughter and we did stickers on a calendar for everytime the potty got used and would make the stars worth so much and then he could get a reward for all the good potty times!!

BRING HIM TO THE POTTY EVERY 15-20 MINUTES. EVEN IF HE SAYS HE DOESN'T HAVE TO GO. MY SON IS 2 1/5 & HE IS POTTY TRAINED. IT TOOK 2 WEEKS ROUGHLY. I WOULD ONLY PUT HIM IN DIAPERS AT BED TIME.

I am having the same problem my son is three and is not potty trained yet. I told him I would give him candy if he atleast tried to go for me.He sat there for a good 2 mins. but nothing. He had an accident then told me he had to go potty. It will all work out but i am up for suggestions too.

What you could do is keep the small potty in the livingroom till he gets used to it. (bribing him never hurt either, like with my son I used m&m's if he went in the potty). After he gets used to it take it out and put it in the bathroom, then when he goes to pull down his pants he wont see it and he will have to tell you. Another thing you can do that really helped me is set a timer for every 20 mins. Then after awhile he will get the hang of it and tell you "no I don't have to go yet" He will learn the feeling of it. All this worked for my son and he was potty trained by 20 months!!!!! I promise this works. Hope this helps.

Well i use to work at a daycare, and the easiest way to start potty training for me was we would offer them a sticker after they went, so they would want to go, we would ask them to use the restroom every 1 1/2 to 2 hrs., just keep checking and asking becaus eof course they will forget they are in underwear, just remind them they dont like wetting themselves, i hope that helps

Boys are the hardest!! They have to go all the time. My son has gone everywhere from parking lots to the side of the road when he was training. My advice let him go when he has to go, bathroom or not!! lol
