high blood pressure, anyone??

I have high blood pressure and I have since my oldest was born. Does anyone else have high blood pressure? My doctor thought it was strange that I did because I don't feel like I should. I am a bit overweight but that shouldn't make it crazy high like it is. She even did some tests on me, but they were all okay. So I have it and now have to deal with it. I think that a huge part of it might be the stress I have. On the outside I seem very happy and I am for the most part, but I hold all my feelings in for the most part so I think that inside I'm screaming. I guess I need some ways to mellow out. How does everyone else deal with high blood pressure??

Thanks ladies. I do love art, it's just hard to get my hands on some stuff. It's not like when you are in high school and have a whole art room at your disposal!

I don't have high blood pressure, i have kidney disease so i get my blood pressure checked often because if it does get high i have to goto hospital. But i have some stress relief ideas..get a simple yoga dvd to do at home the stretching and breathing really helps create calm. go for walks in the bush, being in nature where its quiet and you can hear the birds helps, also having someone to talk to, someone you can trust to cry and scream in front of without judgment is great. if you don't have that maybe going to see a counselor would help. If your into swimming or dancing or painting etc finding time in the week to be alone so you can spend a few hours doing something you love can be great therapy and stress relief.. then there's always sex:p

Yoga, boxing (lol) walking, just things that specifically you enjoy! Just anything that will allow you to do something you enjoy and maybe take a little you time! But def. dont hold things in! talk to someone!

Well I currently only have high bp b/c its pregnancy induced and I am taking something for it~ But as for the holding everything in! Thats a big no no! Stress will def. raise your bp! Trying doing stress free activities or something that will help you let things out! One day your going to pop and it wont be so pretty, trust me ive learned my lesson!
